Winter will be here soon, though it will be longer before there's any snowfall. But in the northern pine forests, snow already blankets the ground and glows in the low-angle sunlight. Amid the cold beauty, the warmth of even a winter sun is welcome.

Yep, the little pine tree is basically a Christmas tree in the wild. We'll see if we get any snow this year - last year, the only snow was what I painted!
